Preliminary Examination:
Format: Objective type (MCQs).
Marks: 150 marks.
Duration: 150 minutes.
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Subjects: Arithmetic, Data Interpretation, Reasoning, Current Affairs, and Computer Awareness.
Main Written Examination:
Format: Usually consists of two papers (both objective/MCQ based in the revised pattern).
Paper I: Language (Odia and English).
Paper II: General Studies (History, Geography, Constitution, Economy, etc.).
Certificate Verification: * The final stage where documents are checked for eligibility and authenticity. For certain posts, a Computer Skill Test is also mandatory.
The salary varies based on the group classification of the post:

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 42 years (as of January 1 of the recruitment year).
Relaxations: Standard age relaxations apply (5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women and 10 years for PwD).
Computer Literacy: Basic computer knowledge is essential for almost all CGL cadre posts.
